The Broomfield real estate market is off to a great start in the first two months of 2020 with significant increases in average sales price, median sales price, list to sales price ration and a decreased number of days on market. This comes on the heels of a slower fourth quarter in 2019. I believe this is due to a combination of factors. With a slower fourth quarter and lower appreciation in 2019, the perception among buyers is that now is a good time to enter the buyer market while home prices remain more affordable with less competition. Second, interest rates remain at historic lows and continue to drop with the ongoing concern of the corona virus.
